CREATING MULTI-BID ESTIMATES

In this article we will cover how a FieldCentral user would create a Multi-Bid Estimate including the option to leverage already created Multi-Bid Templates

By utilizing Multi-Bid Estimates you are able to provide your customers with multiple service options to choose from that best fit their needs! Sending multiple estimates to a customer can highlight any add on services or upsells for your customers to consider. Utilize the Multi-Bid feature to create estimates for:

  • Seasonal agreements: Gold, Silver & Bronze packages
  • Installation options: Good, Better, Best irrigation system
  • Upgrade options: Installation of a regular vs. smart controller
  • Service options: Just mowing vs mow, trim & blow
  • And many more!

Once you have logged into your FieldCentral web account, utilize the + (Create) button in the quick access panel and select “Create Estimate” for the quickest route to create a single Multi-Bid Estimate.

Enter a new or existing Opportunity (property).

After providing the Opportunity (property) information, be sure to also include any contact information that you have as this will be necessary when users are ready to send/distribute estimates.

Within the “Estimate Info” section, the user has a couple of options.

  • If a template already exists that they would like to use, (both singleton or multi-bid) they would select the “Template” drop down to choose from the available templates. (this option will autofill the required fields for the user)
  • If the user would like to create an estimate (both singleton or multi-bid) but would like to mix and match, they would select the Service Type from the drop down and provide the Estimate with a title

Once selections have been made the user will click “Done”

By clicking “Done” the estimate has been created for the designated opportunity but has not yet been sent to the customer. The user will automatically be directed to the Estimates & Opportunities page to manage further.

If the user would like to Mass Create Multi-Bid Estimates, they would do so within the Accounts section of the platform.

This is especially helpful if you have year after year recurring customers or a group of customers that you would like to send multiple options of estimates/proposals to in bulk.

To utilize this functionality, navigate to the Main Menu and select Accounts. Then open “Properties”.

Use the Search field and column headers to generate your desired list of properties that you wish to mass send a Multi-Bid Estimate to.

Once the list of properties is generated the user will click on the “Mass Actions” drop down and select “Create Estimates for All”.

This will open up the “Select Estimate Template” window where the user will first select the pertaining Service category. Once the Service category is selected this will populate the list of templates available, both Multi-Bid and Singleton for the user to select from the drop down menu.

Now that the user selections have been made, they are able to adjust the title, start and end dates for the estimate. Once satisfied, the user will click “Continue”.

Once the estimates have been created, the user will receive this confirmation message.

When the user clicks “continue” they will be directed to the Estimates & Opportunities page where the mass created estimates can be further managed.

Be sure to save yourself some time the next time you need to send out several estimates and utilize the mass actions option for both single estimate and multi-bid estimate creation.
