CREATING WTD's & ESTABLISHING PLP

In this article we will cover the elements that are used to build an estimate and how users will need to navigate FieldCentral to locate these elements.

Before we dive into the steps within the system, lets review at a high level:

Estimates are pieced together by Work To Do’s. When Work To Do’s are created originally they may have some default pricing included, which if left unaltered, would carry over into the estimate they are placed into.

If, however, the user is creating an estimate for a property that has Property Level Pricing (PLP) already established, the selected Work To Do’s will take over that pricing structure.

Note: an estimate will first look for a Manual Price Override.

  • If there is no Price Override, it will look for Property Level Pricing.
  • If there is no Property Level Pricing, it will look for Price Matrix Values
  • If the WTD does not have a Price Matrix Value, It will  look for Template Pricing.
  • If there is no Template Pricing, the Work To Do default (base) pricing will stand.

Now lets review how a user would set up their Service categories and the Work To Do’s within them (Including that default (base) pricing). And we will look at Property Level Pricing and how to establish at a Property level.

Creating & Editing Work To Do's

Once the user has logged into FieldCentral, they will click the Settings icon on the left hand side of the page.

Click “Open” under Services.

Then, click “Open” under Services & WTD

Use the arrow on the far left of the service to expand that Service category and view the associated Work To Do’s (WTDs).

On the desired Work To Do, click the pencil icon to edit.

The user can review the settings and establish what they would like their default settings to be for this Work To Do. Be sure to review the Bill Type and Rate! Once complete, click “Save”.

To re-order the appearance of either the Service categories or the Work To Do’s within them, use the up/down arrows within the “Order” column.

To add a new Service Category OR a Work To Do under an existing Service category, use the + buttons on the right side of the page.

Property Level Pricing

To establish Property Level Pricing, the user will first need to navigate to “Accounts” within the Main Menu at the top left corner of the page.

*Property Level Pricing should be used to manage exceptions as most pricing structures should be configured utilizing Price Matrix.

Open the Property Search

Use the Search field to locate the desired property. Once located, the user will click on the appropriate row within the Property log.

On the left side of the page the user will click on the “Pricing” tab.

In order to edit the Property Level Pricing the user will need to first click “Edit” in the top right corner of the page.

The user will then select the specific Work To do from the drop down menu for any WTD they wish to establish PLP.

Once the rate type and other visit factors are entered the user will save their changes and then click “Done”

Now you are able to set up your default (base) Work To Do Pricing and any needed Property Level Pricing. Ready to give it a go?
