Understanding how to create a new contact from the field is quite useful if doing a service for a current customer and the neighbor comes over and asks for a quote. The tech can then create them directly from the field and capture more information regarding their property so they can do an estimate then or be scheduled in the future.
First open the FieldCentral field app on your mobile device
We’ll now want to perform a websync in order to pull the necessary information down to the device by clicking the cloud icon in the top right then tapping websync.
Now in order to create a new property directly from the field app you’ll want to tap the menu option in the top left of the schedule screen.
Now tap Contacts
This will now display the list of all contacts that are currently in the system. In order to create a new contact simply tap the + Icon in top right corner.
Simply fill in all available fields with necessary information (Company Name or First and Last name are required) then tap Ok.
You can now scroll through the list and see the new one you created as it will have ‘Field –‘ before the name of the property.
Or alternatively you can also use the search option at the bottom to search for that new property directly.
Once created make sure to websync in order to send that information back to the office and your new contact will now show up in the list of all properties.
