This article goes over the steps required to create a new Visit from inside the FieldCentral Field Application. These steps include Navigating to the Create a Visit section on the Field Device, Selecting the Customer and WTD, and how to websync that
Understanding how to create a new Visit from the field can be very helpful if the techs need the ability to create their own visits that need to be scheduled. The tech can then create them directly from the field and they could potentially use that to estimate a new job or do repairs without having to reach back out to someone in the office.
First open the FieldCentral field app on your mobile device
We’ll now want to perform a websync in order to pull the necessary information down to the device by clicking the cloud icon in the top right then tapping websync.
Now in order to create a new Visit directly from the field app you’ll want to tap the menu option in the top left of the schedule screen.
This can be very useful if already at a job site and another customer you service comes over to request service at their property, the tech can now just create that directly from the field and can perform that service next.
Or once sent back to the office an admin can reschedule that for another day and the tech can at least capture the necessary information needed to do that job they requested.
Now tap New Visit
Select your Service category. In this example we’ll be selecting Repair (Service call)
Select Service (WTD).
Select Customer from list (Can also use search function to search for specific Property ID)
If any adjustments need to be made to the contact information this can be done now. Otherwise once all info is correct, simply Tap Ok.
Now tap Done and the new visit will now be added to your schedule.
This will create a new visit from the field which will initially not have a work order number assigned to it.
Once you websync the job back to the office it will get assigned a WO number and will be placed on the schedule for the time it was created. (1:52 PM in this example)
