FieldCentral Connect: EMAIL TEMPLATES SETUP

In this article we will cover how to set up email templates within FieldCentral for those who have purchased the Connect add on feature for email/texting capabilities.


In order to communicate via email, Connect users will need to ensure that they have set up their email templates. By setting these up, users will be able to configure certain email types to be triggered for certain services or work to dos in addition to where they are in the service process. 


Once logged into FieldCentral, navigate to the Settings Page via the quick access panel. 



Select Communications

Click on the green + button within the Email Templates section. 



Begin by selecting the Template name from the drop down (this will be the SendGrid template name). 

Next, select the Template Type based on what type of email you would like to trigger.

  • Confirmation - Email that sends when service is placed on the calendar and scheduled
  • Reminder - Email that can be auto sent X number of days before scheduled visit. Or manually triggered when viewing the visit on the schedule and clicking Email.
  • Cancellation - Email that sends when a visit is canceled off of the schedule 
  • Rescheduled - Can be manually sent when viewing the visit on the schedule and selecting Email.
  • Incomplete - Can be manually sent when updating the visit status to Incomplete via the visit summary or selecting the Email button.
  • Completion - Email that sends when a visit is marked as complete or the visit status is manually updated to Complete.
  • Estimate - Email that is sent when sending estimates either individually or in mass. 
  • Contract - Email that is sent via the email action on the contracts page either in mass or individually.
  • Leave Behind - Can be set to auto send upon completion of a visit within the Field App.
  • Request Form Submittal - Auto sent when a request form is submitted. 

Assign the Unsubscribe Group, either Visit Related or Marketing.

Then select the service category you would like the template tied to and the specific WTD’s (or check “all WTDs”). 



IF selecting Email Type: Reminders:

there is the ability to have them auto send. For reminders they will auto send based off of the number of days before set in the email template.


IF selecting Email Type: Completion

 will auto send once the technician marks the job complete from the field app and websyncs back to the office.
