FieldCentral: Release 2.4.0.0, 2.3.8.3, 2.3.8.2, 2.3.8.1, 2.3800.00 (10/23/2025)

We are excited to share with you the updates included in this release for FieldCentral. The announcement will be broken up into three sections: New Things, Updated Features, and Resolved Issues.

We greatly appreciate any time you invested in order to either report an issue or request an enhancement. Your feedback is highly valued! 

NEW THINGS:

The following are new features that provide you with additional capabilities and functionality. 

  • Services and Service Categories can now be added or removed from existing Estimates and Estimate Templates.
  • Services now have a new billing type: Auto Complete. Auto Complete services will automatically be marked Complete at the end of the scheduled day, are not billable, and do not create invoices. Use Auto Complete visits to record meetings or PTO!
  • When creating an estimate or estimate template, users may now select one or many Service Categories to be included.
  • Users can now reorganize their existing Services between different Service Categories.
  • Users can now assign individual Services as 'Non-Service Tasks', as opposed to the entire Service Category.

UPDATED FEATURES:

The following are updates to existing features that are intended to enhance the quality of life for our clients. 

  • Increased UI sizing when adding a Flat Rate or Material to a visit via the Visit Summary.
  • The QuickBooks Invoice Number is now available as a column within Visits > Visits.
  • The assigned 'Crew' is now an available column within the Schedule > Property Summary.
  • Contacts will now be marked as duplicates only when the Name matches and there’s also a match in either the Phone or Email fields.
  • For companies managing prepayments as '$0 Line Items' reports will now reflect the dollar value of the Service.

RESOLVED ISSUES: 

The following are client-reported issues and HindSite Software discovered issues that have now been resolved. 

  • The 'Override Monthly Total' state will now be honored when automatically renewing contracts.
  • When searching for and adding materials via the Visit Summary, results will now return only materials and not categories.
  • Updated how the Field Application interprets manually applied billing changes to visits to improve accuracy.
  • Reapplied header color stylings to menus that had lost them in previous updates.
  • Improved field application rounding to be consistent with administrative rounding in all known corner cases.
  • Fixed an issue where Estimate Templates could not be applied in certain cases.
  • Fixed an issue where Credit Cards were stopped from being saved.
  • Updated reporting logic to better accommodate Price Matrix Trip Charge's followed by Flat Rate billing.
  • The Visit Summary Report received several improvements for calculation accuracy.
  • Corrected an issue where a Visit was not allowing Flat Rate billing following a Trip Charge.
  • When invoicing multiple materials as a single line item the assigned date will now always be accurate.
  • When changing the Service of a Visit To Do, the user's assignment will now be correctly honored.
