Here is a list of common terms used in FieldCentral and a description regarding the purpose of this feature/element in the program.
FieldCentral Terms:
Accounts - Accounts hold all records for your customer base and are separated into groupings of Properties, Contacts, and Management Companies
Contacts - Contacts represent the actual people associated with Properties and Management Companies in FieldCentral. Contact records include contact information like the email address or phone number
Contracts - Contracts are produced upon the approval of an estimate. A contract represents an agreement between both parties to proceed with the outlined work included
In the approved estimate.
Crews - Crew records represent the slots on the schedule page. The settings for the crew determine how the field application would function for the associated user.
Employees - Employees are the individuals that make up your crews. Commonly, any individual you would like to track time for would be listed as an employee in FieldCentral.
Estimates - Estimates are proposals for work to be performed at a specific property during a specified timeframe.
Estimate Configuration - The Estimate Configuration contains settings that adjust how the generated estimate document looks when printed or attached to an email by excluding or changing the verbiage of certain columns.
Estimate Templates - Estimate templates are templates that can be set up to speed up the process of creating estimates. These templates commonly outline the set services and
materials repeatedly used for estimates or service agreements.
FieldTracker - FieldTracker allows you to pull up a map of the serviced area for the day and can see the progress of the crew throughout the day. If enrolled into our GPS service, you
then would be able to see the location of the vehicle in relation to the scheduled visits.
Management Companies - Management Companies are entities that overlook/are responsible for the service performed on various properties in your customer base.
Multi-Bid Estimates - Multi-Bid estimates are groupings of various options for the estimate that can be presented to customers for them to choose one of the estimates out of the grouping.
Multi-Bid Estimate Templates - Multi-Bid Estimate Templates are groupings of Estimate
Templates that can be setup to speed up the process for creating Multi-Bid Estimates.
These templates commonly outline the different packages/options offered annually
Price Matrix - The price matrix is a feature provided in FieldCentral that allows a table to be made using 1 or 2 User Defined Fields (UDF) to determine the amount that should be billed for the completed visit and how long the visit should be scheduled out for on the calendar.
Properties - Properties are the physical address you would dispatch crews to for the
completion of service.
Request Forms - Request Forms is a feature in FieldCentral that allows you to setup a form for a customer to fill out. Once the form is created, a link is provided that can be put on your website or any of your marketing materials. Once a form is submitted, an email notification can be sent to a designated email address.
RouteBuilder - RouteBuilder is used in FieldCentral to outline any contracted reoccurring visits on certain routes. Once the routes are populated, you can cascade those routes over a vast period to mass place visits onto the schedule at reoccurring intervals.
Sales Representatives - Sales Representatives can be created and assigned to sales records to show who is responsible for estimate records in FieldCentral.
Service - A service in FieldCentral is a category of work used to group together similar
Work to Dos (WTDs)
Users - Users would represent anyone that needs direct access to FieldCentral from the office or the field application. All users would need a designated email along with the first
name and last name of the user. If using the user in the field, a crew must be assigned to the user to determine which schedule would be available when the user's credentials are used.
Visits - Visits represent the appointments on the schedule. Each visit is associated with a property, to distinguish where the service will be performed, and a Work to Do, to distinguish the type of service being provided.
Visit Notes - Visit Notes are associated with the visit to provide a description of the work to be performed to the user of the field application.
Visits To Do (VTD) - Visits to do represent visits in FieldCentral that you need to schedule out but do not yet have a specified date and time set for the appointment. All contracted work automatically shows up in this section for FieldCentral. but there are other methods available to manually add VTD individually or in mass.
Work to Dos (WTDs) - Work to Dos represent the type of work being performed for a visit and distinguishes the default billing for the associated visits one completed.
